Custom slipcovers cost a bit more, but you get exactly what you want. With custom made, you have the opportunity to pick the fabric, color, and pattern that appeals to you and your space. Furthermore, a professional will measure your piece(s) so it will be tailored specifically to your furniture, giving you a beautiful fit. This option gives you more of an upholstered look than the other two options. The right fit makes more difference than you realize, so don’t rule out custom fit too quickly. It will be an investment, but in the end, you’ll be very happy with it.
Best Fabric Options
When it comes to fabric choices, think of a slipcover in the same way you would if you were buying a new piece of furniture. Some things to take into consideration would be:
- How it will be used
- Where it will be located
- Ease of cleaning
- Its purpose (is it for design, protection or both?)
